WIRING METHODS
CONDUIT
Selectra has been responsible for installing all types of conduit including: Rigid PVC, DB2 Underground Duct, Rob Roy, Green Guard, EMT, Aluminum and Galvanized Rigid Steel Conduit. We have all of the tools required for bending, threading, and installing all of the above types of conduit.
CABLE TRAY
Selectra has installed cable tray from all major manufacturers in steel, aluminum, and FRE.
BUS DUCT
We have installed bus duct from simple MCC bus connectors to plant wide bus duct systems.
TECK CABLE
We have installed teck cable from 1000 Kcmill down to the smallest instrumentation teck cables. We have also had non standard teck cables custom made for specific customer applications. We are also familiar with VFD teck cable for solving the harmonic issues associated with VFD's.
PYROTENICS
Although, we do not use pyrotenics often we have installed pyrotenics cable on bridges and in some heat tracing applications.
HEAT TRACING CABLES
We install all types of heat tracing cable and their associated control. We have installed heat tracing cable on: pipes, in floors, and around control valves and tanks.
EXPLOSION PROOF INSTALLATIONS
Fifty percent of the jobs done by Selectra have hazardous areas and we are very familiar with proper wiring techniques for these areas. We have also done intrinsically safe wiring in Class 1 Div. 1 and Class 1 Div.2 areas. For float switches, door switches, proximity switches, limit switches, and operator controls.
